A penny for your thoughts...

Over the weekend while in a store,
I came across this:

The scene reminds me of that website dedicated
to Walmart customers.
I have always thought that rollers
are a no-no outside of your home or salon.

Your thoughts ?

There are things we do to groom ourselves to appear in public, like using curlers. Then, when we're in public, we're supposed to look groomed. Taking the private preparation outdoors is wrong. It's like cutting your toenails on an airplane. I've seen it done, but it's still wrong.

I think its funny, but I also thinkits cool she doesnt care what others think! I'd do it if I had an event to go to and was running around like a mad-woman before the event with very little time to stay at home...but then again I NEVER have time and yet I still havent worn rollers in public...haha

I can only laugh at this, because I recently took a short road trip with my BF and his mom and she road most of the way with curlers in her hair! ;o)

I thought scenes of curlers in hair only appear in the movies. Good move to snap that quickly before anyone noticed. Was this taken during Halloween? Could it be a Halloween getup or a pajamas party perhaps?

I think we're too quick to judge. As an african american woman myself she doesn't look trifling or "ridiculous" with her dress. Her hair looks freshly done. With african american hair, it can quickly get frizzy and such. She could be going to an event. She could've gotten her hair done at the mall and decided to leave it up. A head scarf would've been preferred, but maybe she didn't have one. And yes, african american women STILL use rollers to curl their hair. Lorena, this is uncharacteristic of you. I'm really disappointed that you would post something like this.

This post was brought to my attention by a friend...and I really find it sad. Sad, that someone would go out of their way to comment on someone who's life has nothing to do with them, but also sad that a picture was taken of someone who didn't give their permission to do so and then have it posted for anyone to come and ridicule. It's disgusting. You have no idea why this girl has rollers in her hair, she may be off to a party, forgot something and had to run in quickly to get it. There are many reasons for it & besides that...why should you care!?! And there is no rules to life about wearing rollers in public or not wearing them in public, I mean where is your spine!?! All you've done here with this post is show what kind of person you are & the kind of person the above commentators are. There are plenty of magazines and men in this world that drag women down for who they are & to see a woman herself - drag another woman through the dirt at her own expense is vile. Had this person noticed you taking the picture and got wind of it being posted here without permission, you could be sued!! Your about introduction bit up there says your just a 8-5 worker who thinks there is always room for improvement...well maybe you should take your own words and improve your demeanor because it's just radiating negativity. Really disappointing post. I'm shocked people still do this...sad.

Definitely a no-no. Also, they are both dressed poorly.
